About Us

The 2020 Cattlemen Days Rodeo has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our top priority each year is the safety of contestants, volunteers and fans. So many of us look forward to the rodeo each year and the enthusiasm of our fans never disappoints. Our hope is all will be understanding of this decision. While we will all miss this 2020 rodeo together, let’s remain hopeful for a great 2021 Cattlemen Days Rodeo!

Come see the greatest sport on dirt at the 2020 Cattlemen Days Rodeo on August 28 & 29! For 44 years, the Cedar Valley Riders and the Ashland Optimist have been bringing PRCA rodeo to Ashland, Missouri. With rodeo performances beginning at 8:00 pm on both nights, there is something for everyone!

See cowboys and cowgirls compete in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding with the finest stock Three Hills Rodeo has to offer, enjoy entertainment from Ron Burton and Jerry Thornton! Concessions will be available both nights. For those 21+, the beer tent will be serving up ice cold beer.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?

A: We do not accept cards. If you get to Ashland before you remember this, never fear! There are several ATMs on  your way to the arena!

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: Obviously we are a big fan of animals, but due to the event's crowd size and the livestock, we prefer your companions stay home.

Q: I'm from out of town, where can I stay?

A: There are no hotels in Ashland, but there are several choices right up the road in Columbia (at Discovery Parkway, the I-70/Hwy 63 interchange).

Q: Can I enter my child in mutton busting?

A: No, we do not offer mutton busting.
